When you launch a brand-new blog in a crowded market, you typically receive little organic traffic.
Your domain authority of zero is one factor in this.
This method was used by a hosting firm to increase organic traffic from 3.5K per month to 12K per month (+250%).
The similar strategy was used by GotchSEO, who saw a 425% boost in traffic.
How does this strategy function?
The fundamental concept is to 301 redirect an existing or expired domain in your industry to your current domain.
All of the links and anchor text from the previous website will be carried over to yours.
There are nuances, though:
- Very crucial! The website needs to have a Topical Trust Flow, which includes themes related to yours (this is the only paid product I could find that can do this).
- The trust flow on the site should be greater than 15. (free version of the same tool above)
- The website must only contain high-quality links (editorial, earned links – free tool)
- There should be at least 20 referring domains on the website (more is better)
- A large number of branded anchors and unoptimized anchor text should be present on the website.
- Indexing of the website (google: “site:domain.com”)
- The website shouldn’t have previously been utilised for spam.
Where can I get domains?
- expiring domains at domcop.com
- Live businesses on flippa.com
