Google has done a lot of study and found that it takes 7 seconds for visual content above the fold to load on 70% of pages.
While 53% of people leave if the page doesn’t load in 3 seconds.
That means that a lot of people (you are one of them with a 70% chance) lose more than 50% of their mobile visitors, which means they lose money.
A possible answer is AMP.
But it has a very big problem. Your ads and pop-ups asking people to sign up won’t work with AMP.
As part of her experiment, Marie Haynes took away AMP, and ad income went up by 40%.
