Social media users tend to be more engaged and online at specific times of the day. A customer base that is familiar with your brand and its offerings is a much more lucrative one to maintain. In time, you can grow a sizable following across all the major social media platforms.

As a social media marketer, you should make the most of these opportunities to interact with your target demographic. Keep in mind that peak engagement periods will vary depending on the sector.

However, Monday through Wednesday between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. central standard time is when Facebook users are most active. Average Facebook post engagement is higher at 7 p.m. than at 8 p.m. Even though you have a better chance of reaching consumers and increasing site traffic during peak usage times, they may be more likely to be actively engaged in the evenings. An average 18% increase in participation is seen between Thursdays and Fridays compared to the other days of the week.

Contrarily, Tuesday through Friday between 2 and 3 p.m. Central Time is when the most Instagram users are online.
