Establishing a marketplace requires stocking your supply side with goods. But it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to quickly recruit a large number of suppliers. Okay, that’s OK. An effective method of verifying supply is to “fake” it. This does not imply going without supplies, but rather making those supplies on your own. So, renting or buying up some little inventory can be an useful proxy for actual providers, both to have activity on your marketplace and to persuade new suppliers to come on board if you’re making a market for outdoor and hiking goods.
